The Rescue Diver programme develops your knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accident situations and render first aid. This diving programme is an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver. Rescue Diver certification is also a prerequisite for all leadership programmes.<\/p>\n
The Rescue Diver programme covers:<\/p>\n
– Self-rescue and diver stress
\n– Diving first aid
\n– Swimming and non-swimming assists
\n– Egress (exits)
\n– Surfacing the unconscious diver
\n– Underwater problems
\n– Missing diver procedures
\n– Panicked diver response
\n– In-water artificial respiration
\n– Dive accident scenarios
\n– First aid procedures for pressure related accidents
\n– Emergency management and equipment considerations<\/p>\n
To get into the Rescue Diver programme, you’ll need to be certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver. You’ll also need to have successfully completed a EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE\u00ae programme or a sanctioned programme in CPR within the past 24 months.<\/p>\n
After successfully completing the programme, you’ll receive the internationally recognised Rescue Diver certification card.<\/p>\n
